Gallopade is a leading publisher of educational resources and reading materials. For over 40 years, Gallopade has been partnering with schools, teachers, libraries, museums, gift shops, and bookstores. Resources include resource books, activity books, chapter books, maps, games, readers, and more. We’re about to ramp back up and release a number of new books and resources over the next year!
Gallopade is looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team. As a highly organized member of marketing, you will join in the planning, development, and implementation of a broad range of marketing programs to support key business objectives and to drive growth. This is a mid-level position.
The ideal candidate is tech-savvy and a data-driven marketer. You’re confident in helping plan, manage, and develop various forms of digital marketing projects. This position is for you if you’re comfortable wearing multiple hats (plan, write copy, ideate design, review, test, optimize, publish/send) and able to juggle multiple projects at the same time. We need a critical thinker and a problem solver; Someone who easily recognizes an opportunity and goes after it.
What you will do:
Ideate and plan marketing campaigns to support Gallopade’s non-curriculum area of business.
Plan and execute email marketing, paid ads (SEM), social media marketing, and website updates. Duties may also include non-digital projects.
Assess the performance of websites and digital marketing campaigns against KPIs (on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis), providing reporting that focuses on learnings and incorporates those learnings into future planning and work.
Manage the content calendar across channels.
Increase awareness of the brand, product, and services through physical and digital outreach.
Assess business situations, develop solutions, and work with a team of designers and other marketing professionals to execute those ideas.
Analyze marketing data and help provide actionable insights and recommendations for optimizations.
Work with the sales department to convert target customers into profitable customers, ensuring they are provided with the sales aids needed to be successful.
Plan and write across channels, including blogs, emails, PR, flyers, catalogs, social media.
Oversee day-to-day execution of projects and help to create, manage and execute daily deliverables.
Effectively communicate feedback to team members to move a project along through completion.

Required Past Experience:
5-7 years of marketing and/or marketing design experience
College degree in business, marketing, communications, or design.
Experience in the book publishing industry or education space a plus.
Experience in all or most of the following: eCommerce marketing/marketing automation, SEO, SEM, social media marketing, website management, email marketing.
Comfort in using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CRM software (i.e.Hubspot), and ESPs (i.e. Mailchimp).
