Our print and digital curriculum are constantly evolving as we work to bring custom and flexible solutions to K-8 classrooms.


Position Overview

Gallopade is looking for an experienced Marketing Specialist to join our team! As a highly organized member of marketing, you will join in the planning, development, and implementation of a broad range of marketing programs to support key business objectives and to drive growth. This is a mid-level position.


The ideal candidate is confident in assisting with the planning, management, and development of various marketing projects. This position is for you if you’re passionate about marketing, able to simultaneously juggle multiple complex projects and tasks, and eager to understand the curriculum buying process. We need a critical thinker and a problem solver; Someone who easily recognizes how one project/task/update can impact others now and in the future. And lastly, someone who enjoys wearing the hat of copywriter and occasional designer.


What you will do:

  • Ideate and plan marketing campaigns to support Gallopade’s curriculum area of business

  • Increase awareness of the brand, product, and services through physical and digital outreach.

  • Assess business situations, develop solutions, and work with a team of designers and other marketing professionals to execute those ideas.

  • Analyze marketing data and help provide actionable insights and recommendations for optimizations.

  • Work with the sales department to convert target customers into profitable customers, ensuring they are provided with the sales aids needed to be successful.

  • Plan and write across channels, including blogs, emails, PR, flyers, catalogs, social media.

  • Oversee day-to-day execution of projects and help to create, manage and execute daily deliverables.

  • Effectively communicate feedback to team members to move a project along through completion.

  • Identify online trends to keep the business focused and at the forefront of digital trends.

  • Strong writing and creative thinking skills.

  • A desire to turn complex concepts into clearly articulated messaging.

  • Self-starter, creative, flexible, high energy, and “can do” attitude.


Required Past Experience:

  • 5 years of marketing and/or marketing design experience

  • College degree in business, marketing, communications, or design.

  • Experience in the book publishing industry or education space a plus.

  • Experience in eCommerce a plus

  • Knowledge of front-end development and frameworks including HTML, CSS, and Javascript a plus.

  • Strong exposure to marketing strategy, website design and development, SEO, SEM, social campaign management, and analytics.

  • Comfort in using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CRM software (i.e.Hubspot), and ESPs (i.e. Mailchimp).
