Vermont joined as the 14th state on March 4, 1791, followed by Ohio as the 17th state on March 1, 1803. Maine entered the Union on March 15, 1820, as part of the Missouri Compromise. Florida became the 27th state on March 3, 1845, and Nebraska joined as the 37th state on March 1, 1867.
